Dr. Rajeev Kaushik attended 10 days training programme on "Molecular Techniques for Gene Characterization and Genome Analysis" at National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources, Karnal, Haryana from 17th to 26th November, 2005.

Dr. Rajeev Kaushik and Mr. Anurag Chaurasia attended 23 days training programme on "Microbial Diversity Analysis of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms" at National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms, Mau, UP from 3-25 January, 2006.

Dr. A.K. Saxena and Dr. Mahesh Yandigeri attended a National seminar on 'Patenting in Biotechnology' and training programme on "How to draft Specification and Prosecute Indian Patent Application" from October 19-20, 2006 at National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), New Delhi organized jointly by DBT and NRDC.

Dr. A.K. Saxena and Dr. Mahesh Yandigeri participated in Annual Conference of Association of Microbiologists of India (AMI) on the theme "Microbiology: The Challenges Ahead" on December 6-8, 2006 and presented poster entitled "Do hot water springs differentially enrich gram positive bacteria?".
